The Do Dham Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage journey that covers two of the most revered holy sites in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand, India: Kedarnath and Badrinath. Initiated by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century, this pilgrimage is believed to wash away sins and grant spiritual enlightenment. The journey spans 6 days, starting from Haridwar, and offers a blend of devotion, natural beauty, and cultural exploration. It is a transformative experience for seekers of spirituality and adventure.

Day 01: Haridwar/Rishikesh to Guptkashi (200 KM | 8–9 Hours)

Your journey begins with a pickup from Haridwar or Rishikesh, followed by a scenic drive to Guptkashi. Along the way, you will witness the confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi Rivers in Devprayag, a sight of profound spiritual significance. You will also visit the Dhari Devi Temple in Srinagar, a revered shrine dedicated to Goddess Kali. After these holy visits, you will continue to Guptkashi, where you will check into your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 02: Guptkashi to Kedarnath (35-KM DRIVE & 20-KM TREK)

Early in the morning, you will drive to Sonprayag and then proceed to Gaurikund, the starting point for the trek to Kedarnath. The 20-kilometer trek can be completed on foot or by hiring a poni or palki. The journey offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas and the Mandakini River. Upon arrival at Kedarnath, you will pay homage to Lord Shiva at the Kedarnath Temple, one of the holiest shrines in Hinduism. Spend the night in Kedarnath, immersed in its spiritual atmosphere.

Day 03: Kedarnath to Guptkashi (20-KM TREK DOWN & 35-KM DRIVE)

In the morning, you will trek back to Gaurikund and then drive to Guptkashi. The descent offers a different perspective of the Himalayan landscape, with lush greenery and flowing rivers. In the evening, visit the ancient Guptkashi Temple to witness the aarti and soak in the divine energy. Return to your hotel in Guptkashi for an overnight stay.

Day 04: Guptkashi to Badrinath (200 KM | 10–12 Hours)

Today, you will embark on a long but rewarding journey to Badrinath, one of the most sacred sites in Hinduism. The drive takes you through winding mountain roads, offering glimpses of the Alaknanda River and the majestic Himalayas. Upon arrival in Badrinath, visit the Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and spend the evening exploring the town. Overnight stay in Badrinath.

Day 05: Badrinath to Rudraprayag (160 KM)

The fifth day begins with a morning visit to the Badrinath Temple, followed by a drive to Rudraprayag. En route, you will pass through scenic landscapes and quaint villages. Rudraprayag is the confluence of the Mandakini and Alaknanda Rivers, making it a spiritually significant location. Spend the night in Rudraprayag, reflecting on your journey so far.

Day 06: Rudraprayag to Rishikesh (136 KM)

The final day of the Do Dham Yatra takes you back to Rishikesh via Srinagar and Devprayag. Along the way, you will visit the Dhari Devi Temple and witness the confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi Rivers, which marks the beginning of the Ganges. The tour concludes in Rishikesh, where you can reflect on the spiritual journey and the divine connections you’ve experienced.
